The problem with an inside cabin is you can't tell what the weather is outside. We got up early to meet our tour in Mazatlan, only to find out that the ship was sitting outside the port in a heavy bank of fog. We spent about two hours waiting and taking pictures in the Dragon's Lair club before Captain Johnny announced that he was going to "try to find a hole in the fog and drive the ship through it."
